Moses Lake, Washington is probably one of my favorite places on earth. It’s the one place that has stayed constant for me through the many homes that my family has created in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Illinois and Virginia. Both of my parents grew up there and my grandparents still live there and even many of my cousins live in the area.
On the Friday before Thanksgiving, Ty and I drove up to surprise our parents! It worked out really well until my dad called me on Sunday. He said, “Kyna, someone used your bank card at an ATM in Moses Lake!!” He was worried. I regret having a shared account, it ruins all surprises. So, they ended up finding out I was there before it was planned… but they were still excited that we came and we got to surprise our aunts and grandmas.
We hung out with cousins and grandmas for a few days until my parents drove over the mountains… (They really can sing the song, “Over the mountains and through the woods, to grandmother’s house we go.”) I had a friend come down and visit me and I made an awesome italian feast (if I do say so myself) and let my family try some real italian food.
We watched a ton of movies, ate tons of food and I read a million books. I love reading, I just wish I had more time to do it! I saw the movie Twilight. It was cute, very cheesy, but cute. I also saw the movie Austrailia. Fun and entertaining but it keeps you confused because you keep thinking it’s going to end and it doesn’t.
How fun!! I love surprises. 🙂 I’m glad you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family. It somehow just makes the Holidays so much better…I’m excited to see you in a couple of weeks!! I can’t believe it’s coming up so soon…
That’s so fun to surprise them. That’s funny, I watched those same two movies over the break and loved both of them! I wish I had more time to read. I still can’t believe how grown up your brothers are. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them!
Those are your brothers!?! Wow when did they grow up? Such handsome guys! I remember them as little munchkins running all over the place! What a cute family! I always loved your family! Kyna you look so cute in those pictures! How fun to surprise your family! It looks like you had so much fun!
Oh my goodness! Kyna! How are you?? It’s been years. I hope that you don’t mind that I found ya on here. You were always such a doll to me in High School and I thank you for that. It’s so good to see that you’ve been doing great.
I’m glad the suprise worked….it’s always fun to suprise your parents!
